Micron International Academy Admission and Participation

The Academy is reserved to 20 students
(EU and non-EU members) graduated or enrolled in a Master degree in specific techno-scientific classes, who will be selected based on qualifications, oral exam and motivation.

Participation:
  • Participation in the Academy is free of charge. 
  • Attendance at the Academy is mandatory for at least 70% of the total expected time commitment. 
  • Each student who has successfully completed the Academy will receive a certificate of participation in the training program.
  • For participation in the Academy, and subject to obtaining the certificate of participation in the course, a scholarship is provided as an attendance allowance, the amount of which is fixed at €2,500 gross. 
  • For students enrolled in a master’s degree program at the University of Naples Federico II who possess the certificate of participation in the Academy, or, in any case, after attending at least 80% of the program, the University may assess the recognition of university educational credits (CFU).
Qualifications:

Italian citizens, citizens of EU member states residing anywhere, and non-EU citizens who, at the deadline for the call, possess one of the following qualifications

Master’s degree or enrollment in master’s degree program in one of the following:

  • Electronic Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Telecommunications Engineering
  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Automation Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Physics

Or equivalent programs as established by the evaluating committee

Admission:
The selection committee will consist of three professors from the University of Naples Federico II and three representatives from Micron Semiconductor Italia. 

The selection procedure for admission to the Academy will be based on an evaluation of the candidates' qualifications and a subsequent interview conducted by the selection Committee    
All qualifications will be considered only if adequately documented or declared by the candidate in accordance with current regulations.
The oral exam will consist of an interview aimed at assessing in particular the candidate’s:
knowledge of fundamental topics in information and electronic engineering and specific subjects related to the Academy. 
proficiency in the English language
motivation for participating in the training course
alignment with the themes of the educational project
inclination towards teamwork
