Micron International Academy brings together the university of Naples Federico II and Micron with the objective of training new highly professional figures with a global perspective in the field of development and verification of embedded memory system.

Program

The goal of the Micron International Academy is to train students to become experts in cutting-edge integrated digital systems Technology, with a particular focus on advanced memory systems, and to be ready for working all around the world. The program has a 5-months duration and encompasses lectures, practical exercises, group work, project work, and seminars with a focus on hands-on, project-based, and laboratory activities.

Admission and participation

The Academy is reserved to 25 students (EU and non-EU citizens), graduated or enrolled in a master degree in specific techno-scientific classes, who will be selected based on qualifications, oral exam and motivation. Participation in the Academy is free of charge. Each student who has successfully completed the Academy will receive a certificate of participation in the training program and a scholarship of € 3000. Additional contributions will be made available to support accommodation expenses for the first 10 in the ranking who are not residing in Italy, and travel expenses for students residing in Italy outside of Campania region.

For master's degree students, participation in the Academy will constitute a preferential title for access to curricular or extracurricular internship positions available at Micron's Italian offices (Arzano, Avezzano and Vimercate) At the end of the Academy course, two participants may be selected to spend a short period at one of Micron international sites, to further explore topics related to the development of advanced memories.
